D’MYNA SKY BAR

I have dabbled in Ultraviolet Art in the past, mainly abstract sculptural installations. However, this was my first Ultraviolet mural, painted on the staircase walls winding up to the top floor of D’myna Sky Bar in Ha Long City, Vietnam. A fairly large painting covering two walls, it was initially a collaboration between myself and a friend from Kazakhstan. Unfortunately, she had to leave unexpectedly shortly after beginning the project, so I was left to complete it.

It was a very time consuming piece, featuring various landmarks of Ha Long and many other detailed components. A seemingly never ending task, there were some frustrating moments. But in the end, the completed mural was quite magnificent in effect. Many photographs were taken by guests on the night of the grand opening and the owners were very pleased too.

Below are stills taken at night under the UV lights and some during daylight.
