LAGUNA DE FUEGO
Spanish for “Fire Lagoon”, this sculptural wall mounting was inspired by the fierce and hostile volcanic landscapes that can be found in parts of our world. An adventure into distortion of scale, I envisioned myself as a microscopic creature making a treacherous journey across the flame-scorched mountains and canyons, from the deadly burning sea to the infamously volatile Fire Lagoon. Perhaps somewhat like Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee trekking across Mordor in Lord of the Rings.
