RAY

A textured portrait of Ray Spencer MBE, dressed as his infamous pantomime character, ‘Dame Bella Ballcock’. I have had the great privilege of working with Ray for many years at The Customs House Theatre in our hometown of South Shields. Working backstage as a technician during the Christmas pantomime shows, I drew Ray’s name out of a hat for the much loved cast and crew Secret Santa Christmas tradition. This would be the second occasion that I have drawn Ray’s name and this time decided to paint him in his hilarious and brightly coloured character costume.
